It is not a new thing that Nigeria is the most religious country in West Africa. If you do not know, that means you live in a cave beneath the earth. But for the reason that you were able to find your way here, you will know what you should know.

Nigeria been a West African country and also its giant, has vast characters in it. Even among the parents, there are parents that (1) stand by their word, (2) controlled by peers (3) read manuals.
Now, among all these categories of parents, the wisest among all, if it should be said is

1.     The parent that stands by own word.
2.     Controlled by peers
3.     Read manuals

Having said all these, the question now is, what will make parents to be categorized like so? Kids!!!

But the real truth is that Nigerian parents are too religious, in the case that whatever you do is considered canal. You are been monitored to the extent you lose it.

1.     In Nigeria, the hairstyles trending are styles like Afro, Punk, Galaxy, Swagger etc. now, what concerns hairstyle and righteousness?

When you make do your hair with these styles, 90% of parents consider you wayward, the most annoying part is that, their own children happens to be much wayward than you are, if it’s the hairstyle that makes you wayward.
2.     When you move with friends you are been yelled at like you have killed someone.

3.     What you wear is the part they are more concerned with.
 In Nigeria you will see a boy of 22+ being controlled, commanded, ordered around, scolded in public and the most surprising, beaten. For what reason? That is the question to ask.
Wanting to list out all of the reasons why they behave so embarrassing will make you go to bed without studying, get what you are cooking burnt, just saying. Now, the reason why they behave this way is because of the so called advice they get, which has now redirected us back to the category of parents.
One other thing a Nigeria parents are fond of is comparing their child with the neighbor’s or comparing with the child’s friend. They do this not for any other reason but to preach to the kid. 
Another, is that most parent gives their children time to go out and come back home.
The parents that stand by their word, happens to get the better result, because they happen to move by their instincts, and many happens not to get mislead too often by their instincts.
The other parents that hawk’s their ears, happen to get the situation in hand hotter than it was. They try every advice they get, whereby psychologically playing with the kid in question. When a kid is behaving in a manner you as a parent do not welcome, the best solution to that problem rests within you both. You know your child, if you do not know, start studying.
Those that surf the web, patronizing book stores, should better stop and study their child. Dictating what your child likes and dislikes is the first step to getting the job done, knowing this, you have already getting 50% of the job done.
This can be said to have made most of Nigerian children disciplined, due to the childhood training they got at their early stages.

NOTE: everything has its limit. Be careful on how you implements them.


When you psychologically overwork a kid, the kid gets mad (not like mental madness). The kid gets fed up with you and what you say. And if this happens, you have a squared job to do.
